Kansas preparing a horse for a show in Australia 2007
K ansas Carradine, has been riding horses as long as she can remember.  At
11 years old, destiny took Kansas’s hand and led her to Riata Ranch, one of the
only trick-riding schools in the world.  For the next 15 years, she performed as a member of the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls Western Performance Team,
and traveled across the US and beyond to countries like Australia, France,
Mexico, Spain and Norway wearing a Cowboy Hat and displaying trust and bravery on a fast running horse.  What began as a healthy hobby has evolved into a lifelong career as a professional horsewoman.  It was this unique acrobatic riding career that entered her into the pages of Sports Illustrated, Western Horseman, Cowboy & Indians, and the LA Times.  Her time at Riata Ranch was well-documented in the book:  Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls: Life Lessons Learned on the Back of a Horse.
About the same time she began trick riding, she also picked up a rope and
quickly excelled as a natural lasso artist.  With rope in hand, she has
easily performed death defying feats atop fast running horses for Disney`s
Hidalgo, MTV, ESPN, CBS, and countless sporting events around the world.
Although raised in a rodeo arena, Kansas developed her unique style while
touring with the critically acclaimed Cavalia.  In the stunning equestrian spectacle, Kansas was a featured soloist in five acts and became well-renowned for her skills of roman-riding a team of four horses.  After leaving the tour, Kansas worked behind the scenes buying and training horses for the show in both trick-riding and roman-riding.    Ready to deepen her relationship with the horse, Kansas began to explore Ariana Strozzi's Equine Guided Education in 2008 and experienced the healing and spiritual connections horses have with humans.  In 2010, she met Phillip Whiteman at the World Equestrian Games, and was called to go even further on the journey of reconnecting to the spirit of the horse exploring the Medicine Wheel Model.  In 2011, Kansas completed a certification program in Heartmath, which is a life changing philosophy and method dedicated to  helping people reach heart-based living and global coherence.  The journey continues!
